Małgorzata Imielska

Graduate of the Faculty of Radio and TV at the Silesian University, majoring in Film and TV Directing. Director and writer of documentaries, feature films, and theatrical and radio plays. Winner of multiple Polish and international awards. Her feature film debut All for My Mother won the Golden Debut at the 3KinoFest MFF Praha 2020, Best Narrative Feature at the Ojai Film Festival 2020, Best Director and Best Feature Film awards at the International Film Festival Dhaka 2020, and an honorable mention and Audience Award at the Warsaw Film Festival 2019. It also won the Young Jury Award at the Tarnów Film Festival 2020, and was awarded honorable mentions at the Lubuskie Film Summer Festival 2020, Cinergia European Cinema Forum, and Bastau International Film Festival in Kazakhstan.

Małgorzata Imielska’s recent documentary, Love and Empty Words (produced by the Kronika Film Studio, 2018) received multiple awards in Poland and internationally, including the Golden Grape at the 48th Lubuskie Film Summer Festival and the Polish Filmmakers Association Award at the 2018 “Man in Danger” Festival in Łódź. In 2019, it won the Grand Prix of the Hong-Kong International Film Festival, Best Documentary Award at the Great Message International Film Festival in New Delhi, Best “Women’s Film” at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, and Best Documentary at the Ekran Toronto Polish Film Festival.
